Into the Light by Corina Duyn is an Artist Book-in-a-box. Inspired by a course in Disability Studies (2012) Corina read many related books and research papers and intended to write a series of essays in the hope to bridge a gap in the limited research on disability as as result of chronic illness. The gathered quoted were printed and glued to long brown sheets – under the various headings. A visual map as such. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a stay at the Dzogchen Beara Spiritual Care Centre (2014) she had brought a few of the now cut up sheets with her and inspired by the Tibetan Prayer Flags, hung them in the shrubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Observing the Prayer flags inspired her to create a series of loose sheets with short reflections: Fear, hope, acceptance, society\u2019s attitudes to disability and illness, the power of creativity and moments of gratitude are all explored. Supported by quotes from a great variety of authors, each sheet is illustrated with Corina\u2019s stunning nature photographs and her imaginative art. They were gathered in a box.  <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The book is out of print\u00a0but republished in 2026 in digital format on\u00a0 ISSUU \u2013 Little Wings<\/strong><\/a> with a new cover of the sunrise seen over Dzogchen Beara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
